About Vet

Hello, I’m Dr. Koester, a compassionate veterinarian and graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. I’ve worked in general practice, emergency care, and specialty clinics, giving me a well-rounded view of small-animal medicine. I combine my in-clinic expertise with a strong background in veterinary telemedicine to make high-quality care more accessible and convenient for pet owners.

As a Fear Free Certified and Cat Friendly Certified veterinarian, I focus on reducing anxiety and creating positive experiences for pets and their families.

I provide telehealth consultations for concerns such as vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, limping, allergies, itching, ear infections, and behavior changes. I also assist with nutrition, preventive care, chronic disease management, and medication guidance, helping you understand when in-person care is needed.

I can prescribe medications within the state of Florida, including heartworm and flea prevention (with proof of a negative heartworm test within the past year), and refill prescription diets. Please have any relevant records available before your appointment.

Outside of telemedicine, I work relief at local hospitals and stay current through continuing education. My goal is to make veterinary care approachable, educational, and compassionate—so you can feel confident caring for your furry family members.
