I’ve always had a passion for animals and an interest in veterinary medicine since I could hold a kitten or puppy as a toddler.
I graduated Western Career College in 1996. I took my state and national exam, and have been licensed in California since 1996 and recently also Licensed in the state of Texas. I have been managing (nursing manager and hospital manager) small animal practices (general and specialty) for almost thirty years. I am Fear Free and VECCS RECOVER BLS & ALS CPR certified. I am also a Certified Veterinary Business Leader, Certified Business Consultant and Certified Business Office Manager. I authored a book, Www.RVTJobAid.com, to help train and support other Veterinary Technicians in their daily nursing duties.
I am a mom of two humans and eight cats. I have coached boys & girls youth and women's junior college basketball for a combined fifteen years. I have been a breast cancer walker of various groups since 2004 to help raise funds for the fight to find a cure in support of family and friends that are cancer survivors and warriors.
When I am not working at the hospital, I enjoy reading exciting novels, relaxing at the beach, traveling, spending time with family & friends, celebrating life and watching movies!
Due to Veterinary Medical regulations, as a Registered Veterinary Technician and also a Licensed Veterinary Technician, I am unable to diagnose or prescribe medications. Telehealth and triage advice is available.
