About Vet

I graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2009 with a B.S. in biology and then graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. I have spent the last 6 years in small animal private practice and thoroughly enjoy feline medicine and shelter medicine. I have a lot of experience in bottle feeding/raising kittens that may not be fortunate enough to have a cat momma 😢. I also enjoy giving advice and insight into the complexities and, many times, poorly understood, “bad” feline behaviors. I think dogs are pretty cool as well 😎. I enjoy guiding owners through the dreaded allergy issues and giving them ideas and tools to help them manage. In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and two wonderful children. We also share our space with our rescue dogs and cats!

Rough experience since we had two vets stand us up today and one vet say they couldn't see rabbits after that but a good experience when we finally had our visit.

Dr. Shannon was informative in explaining in detail what I could do to help ease my little pups pain and inflammation. She was honest with me which is not what i’m used to with Vets.

Eased my worries and gave me a few at home treatment ideas for our Bunny. Will try the home remedies before going to a vet visit.
