About Vet

Dr. Bernstein is extremely passionate about improving the healthcare of animals both in the US and abroad. He graduated from Duke University with a major in Neuroscience and minors in Economics and Psychology. He attended veterinary school at UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine - the #1 vet school in the world. After graduation, he completed a 1-year rotating internship in Medicine and Surgery at University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine. After completing a rotating internship, he completed a specialty internship in small animal surgery at Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center where his primary focus was complex soft tissue, orthopedic and neurological procedures. Although his main areas of interest lie in small animal medicine (dogs and cats), he is very passionate about exotic animal medicine as well.

He is also active on social media where you can find him on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Tiktok under the username @vet_rozay or Dr. Ross Bernstein. He uses his platforms to share helpful tips for pet-owners/animal enthusiasts as well as his experience as a young, actively practicing veterinarian. Many of his posts are written in both English and Spanish, as he maintains full professional fluency in Spanish. He also works part time as a consultant for companies including Alpha Paw, FIGS (medical apparel), Eko Health and Pet Honesty.

In his free time, Dr. Bernstein loves doing conservation work or helping in under-served communities around the world. He has accumulated hands-on experience in locations including South Africa, Botswana, Nicaragua, Mexico, the Galápagos Islands, the Caribbean, and the Okavango Delta.

In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, hiking, hanging out at the beach, at the gym or recharging his batteries with his Golden Retriever, Duma (who can also be found on Instagram @king.duma.golden). Thank you for reading!

**Please note that in the state of CA, veterinarians are not legally able to prescribe medications to pets they have not examined in person.
