About Vet

Hello! I’m Dr. Rachel Baker and I look forward to partnering with you to provide the best care for your furry or fur-less loved one!

My love for animals started very young with my second word being “kitty.” By the age of 4 years old, I had an uncanny ability to connect with animals spurring my dream of becoming a veterinarian. That special connection with animals and being able to “read” them has only grown with time and experience.

I am a 5th generation Oregonian who completed my undergraduate studies in biology and biochemistry at the University of Oregon before earning my DVM from Oregon State University. I have been serving the Portland, OR suburbs for the last 13 years. I truly enjoy establishing relationships with my patients and clients and advocating for their pet’s best care. My goal is to help educate you about the potential diagnoses and their treatments and work with you to develop the best plan for you and your pet!

I am one of the lucky ones who met the love of my life in high school and we tied the knot in 2010. We have one son and five cats (Mo, Ozzy, Olly, Tilly, and Poppy). Sadly, we recently had to say our final goodbye to our elderly black lab/pit bull mix named Violet. When not working, I love vacationing in warm places, gardening, napping, and spending time outdoors with my family.

That’s enough about me. I look forward to learning about your furry family and helping guide you in providing supreme care for your pet!

Best regards, Dr. Baker
