Dr. Michelle Lapera was born and raised in New York. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware, where she studied Animal Science and Biology. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (VMD) at the University of Pennsylvania and has been practicing in northern Virginia for the past 11 years, treating dogs and cats. Outside of work, Dr. Lapera enjoys hiking and traveling. She has 4 dogs-a 14 year old Husky named Bella, a 9 year old Lab mix named Chance, a 7 year old Collie mix named Marbles, and a Husky puppy named Mika.

Dr. Lapera was very helpful with a plan of action to get our pup back to 100% Our 13 year old Mountain Cur has some sudden lameness with no obvious injuries or really any history of mobility problems. Very solid advice and course of action.
