Dr. Michael Saksen

Hello - I'm Dr. Mike and I'd love to help your pet! I've been working as a veterinarian for 10+ years in general practices and emergency hospitals. I am passionate about ensuring pets have excellent care and educating pet parents on the best way to keep their families happy and healthy for as long as possible. I love working with dogs, cats, and exotic pets. I have a particular interest in emergency medicine, neurology, surgery, and auto-immune diseases. I live in Northern California with my wife (also a veterinarian), our toddler, and our pets - a Great Dane mix named Lyra, a Boxer named Lulu, and a cat named Meatloaf. We also have a tank with African Cichlids we have had since they were hatchlings in 2018. Outside of work I enjoy playing hockey, hiking, fishing, and wood-working projects.
