About Vet

Hello! I am Dr. Leah Nagel. I graduated from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and have been a general small animal practitioner for the last 10 years. I am licensed in CO and TN. I have a passion for behavior cases and chronic illnesses. I am a Feline Friendly veterinarian and a Fear Free Elite veterinarian. I love helping people navigate the sometimes stressful veterinary medical world by providing thoughtful personalized recommendations.

Please note: Both CO and TN require in person examinations within the last 12 months to establish a veterinary client patient relationship (VCPR). I cannot prescribe medications if I have not examined your pet in person.

Dr. Nagel helped us come up with some new ideas to share with our current vet about our sick kitten. She is so friendly and knowledgeable, I wish we could use her all the time!! She comforted us during a hard time and didn't make us feel like bad pet parents for not having thousands of dollars to spend for an MRI at a specialty center. I will hands down recommend her to anyone using Vetster. Now if only we could get her to be our personal vet all of the time!! :)

Dr. Leah is great! She was able to go through all of our options for keeping our boy safe and healthy as he ages and struggles with a degenerative joint condition in his hips. We feel confident that she will be able to manage his condition in a thoughtful and empathetic manner.
