As an integrative veterinarian, my approach is to help pet parents combine both conventional and complementary tools to support wellness and quality of life. I enjoy working with geriatric animals, especially! I have a small comfort care mobile practice and also work at a wellness center, so I get to see a range of pets, from puppies and kittens to beloved old cats and dogs.
Keep in mind that in NC, veterinarians can provide advice virtually, but we cannot diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications through Telehealth without having examined your pet in person first (establishing a veterinary-client-patient relationship, or VCPR).
Virtual consults are a wonderful option for supportive and integrative care discussions, as well as follow-up appointments for animals I have examined in person, but do not replace a vet visit, especially if diagnostics and prescription medications are needed.
