About Vet

Dr. McBrierty is a small animal veterinarian who splits her time between Colorado (where she is from) and Scotland (where her husband is from, and where she went to vet school). For Dr. McBrierty, some of the most important parts of veterinary medicine are compassion, working as a team with pet parents, and providing the most thorough explanations possible so that everyone involved with an animal’s healthcare team understands every situation, big or small. Dr. McBrierty would like every client to walk away from each vet visit or Telehealth consult feeling heard, understood, and comforted or empowered with a clear plan.

Dr. McBrierty graduated from The University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. When she is not practicing, she loves running, mountain biking, horse riding, and travelling. She and her husband are pet parents to two mischievous cats, Ruari and Finn.

We had some questions on how to care for our aging (18+) cat. Dr. McBrierty answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions for care. We really appreciated that Dr. McBrierty walked us through the reasoning/science for all of our questions in ways we could understand. We would recommend Dr. McBrierty to anyone who is looking for amazing care for their pet!

What a great appointment! I had been feeling stressed about my cat struggling to adapt to having two new cats in the house and after my consult, am feeling much more positive about how to manage this going forward. Dr. McBrierty provided excellent information regarding the diagnosis, and asked for my input regarding reasons behind my cat’s response (and I love that she cited her sources of specific information). Perhaps more importantly, she gave me very practical, actionable recommendations for next steps. Very professional and equally warm and personable. I highly recommend Dr. McBrierty!
