About Vet

I earned my DVM degree in 1996 from Universidad Central de Venezuela (UCV). My journey as a veterinarian continued with a post graduate program in small animal surgery and medicine at UCV, where I obtained a degree as a Small Animal Surgery and Medicine Specialist (ECMPA) in 2000. Then, in addition to practicing as a small animal surgeon, I also served as a dedicated faculty member, in the post-graduate program in small animal surgery at UCV, for nearly six years.

In 2011, I successfully completed the ECFVG certification program, which allowed me to obtain a license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States. Subsequently, I embarked on a one-year surgical internship at Mid-Atlantic Animal Specialty Hospital, where I returned in 2018, to become a member of the surgical and rehabilitation team. In 2022, I graduated as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner from the University of Tennessee and later in 2024, as a Certified Canine Manual Therapist from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. My work today is focused on some areas of veterinary medicine like wound management, surgery and rehabilitation for patients with orthopedic and neurological problems, and pain management.
