Dr. Jordan Gesimondo was born in Madrid, Spain, and grew up in the east valley. She was a team swimmer for Northern Arizona University where she received a Bachelors’s degree in Biology in 2006. She went to veterinary school at Colorado State University and graduated with a DVM in 2011. From there she spent 3 years in Texas before coming home to the valley in 2014. She continued her education and graduated with a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Minnesota in 2016. Her primary interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, infectious disease, veterinary public health, and the human-animal bond. She has a wonderful husband of 16 years, 3 kids, and 2 dogs. Her kids have inspired her to make the profession of veterinary medicine more family-friendly. In 2016, she co-founded DVMoms, a group of 14,000 veterinarian mothers with the mission to do just that.
