About Vet

TN State Veterinary Laws DO NOT allow Veterinarians to prescribe medications via Telemedicine alone. This includes flea, tick and heartworm prevention.

I am a University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. After graduation I was part of a Large Animal Internship program at UTCVM. I also attended undergrad at UT. I spent several years working and volunteering at Zoo Knoxville. My areas of interest include everything from insects to whales. I know how special a treasured pet can be as part of the family - from teaching children how to interact with a new pet, to traveling with your four legged friend, as well as end-of life concerns and questions, and everything in between. Helping owners understand life from their pet's perspective and what is best for them is one of the greatest things about being a veterinarian. My husband and I reside in Knoxville with our three teenage sons, our Bassador named Porter, and our Maine Coon mix named Maz. In my free time I enjoy cooking, outdoor festivals and trying new restaurants.

I really appreciated Dr. Stokes; she was very informative and helpful in giving us some advice and options for our little Niner (dog). I've already bragged on her and the service we got. Will definitely do it again if the need arises.
