About Vet

I've been working in the field for 27 years, 21 of them as a veterinarian in Southern California working with clients & their dogs & cats.

I am delighted by dogs & fanatical about felines. I strive to do everything I can to help them & the owners who love them. I like communicating to learn & inform about animal health, diseases and therapies & I enjoy helping Californians get all the best out of their pet's healthcare.

I received advanced training in an Emergency Veterinary Small Animal Medical Internship. Since then I've been a General Practitioner (like your daytime vet) in large group practices, smaller hospitals & also solo. I've focused on every type of problem from critical cases to simple infections.

I have a particular interest in allergy, immunology, infectious disease, neurology, internal medicine & dermatology (skin and ears).

My hobbies include classic cars, planted nano aquariums, antiques, film & pinball! I have 2 cats, 1 betta fish & countless shrimp & snails.

This vet started out very alarming and it really scared me. She said it was one of three things. Turned out her worst case diagnosis is not correct. And the other two options were also incorrect. We spent 7 hours in ER with the dog t(till 3:30 am) to find out he has an infection in his salivary gland. NOT big scary cancer. I would have taken action without the fear mongering. That part was unhelpful.

My 1st telehealth appointment and this was by far my best experience. No stress for my old man dog. Easy comfort from his home. Dr. Williams was great at explaining and asking me pertinent information to Achilles and his care.
