With over 29 years in the veterinary field, 22 of them as a veterinarian in Southern California, I've been working with clients & their beloved dogs & cats for decades.

I am fanatical about felines & delighted by dogs. Though known to laugh with clients to keep minor things light-hearted, I'm serious about medicine & will be honest about your pet's condition.

With a tailored plan for EACH of my patients & their family circumstances, I strive to do everything I can to improve their health including tips & tricks to arm you with the skills you need to smoothly & quickly care for your pet. I choose treatments that actually work for the whole household & truly help the owners who love them improve their health. I keep informed on breed health & dispositions to understand your pet's personality & condition to see what they really need.

I offer multi-modal therapies when appropriate to provide rapid relief & minimize discomfort while promoting appetite yet limiting recurrence & costs, side-effects & the effort you'll need to put forth to best care for your fur baby.

I enjoy communicating to learn about your pet's health, so we can discuss the causes for problems & courses of diseases and give you options for therapies. I like assisting Californians in getting all the best out of their pet's healthcare so our appointment ends with you being well informed, clear & confident in the best plan we agree upon for your fur baby.

I received advanced training in Emergency Medicine during a Veterinary Small Animal Medical Internship. Since then I've been a General Practitioner (like your daytime vet) in large group practices, smaller hospitals & also solo. I've focused on every type of problem from critical cases to simple infections.

I have a particular interest in recurrent allergies, infectious diseases, hospice, behavior, pain management, internal medicine (gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary disease) & dermatology (skin and ears).

During my educational years I researched HIV, PCOS & Endocrinology, Vascular Grafting and Signaling, R & D Drug Development, Anesthetic Outcomes for Newborns, Troop Interactions in Lion-Tailed Macaques & Behavioral Outcomes for Juvenile Adopted Bonobos. I also gave the guided tours at my vet school. Having seen Ophthalmologists since I was very young, I declared to my eye doctor that one day I'd do his job at 4 years old.

My hobbies include classic cars, planted nano aquariums, antiques, film & pinball! I have 2 cats, 1 betta fish & countless shrimp & snails. Favorite Shows: My Cat From Hell & Clarkson's Farm

Dr Williams was quick to assess and thoughtful about what we could use for a community cat that I am trying to help with a URI. I can definitely tell she is an animal lover and she is so friendly. Meds have been ordered at Costco. Sometimes it is a problem getting them in my area so fingers crossed.
