I graduated UCD School of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 and moved to the Olympic Peninsula of Washington where I worked as a mixed practitioner, seeing dogs, cats, horses, beef and dairy cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and pocket pets. I built a state-of-the-art full service practice with surgery, dentistry, medicine, and dairy herd health which I sold in 2013. Beginning in 2007 I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, traveling to China and Taiwan 12 times. I received a certificate as Certified Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine Practitioner from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. I am certified in acupuncture, herbal medicine, Chinese Food Therapy, and Tui Na massage therapy. Currently, I practice primarily small animal medicine as a relief veterinarian for several animal hospitals. One of my hobbies is training my border collies for sheep dog trials.
