After graduating from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011, Dr. Abdul explored several aspects of vet med including emergency medicine, shelter medicine, general practice and teaching. She became certified in the Human Animal Bond and gained additional training in geriatric and end of life care. Dr. Abdul started telemedicine during the Pandemic as a way to extend veterinary reach to individuals and their pets that may not have had another option. She has since continued to offer this service to help reduce stress in pets that do not travel well or are terrified at a clinic, and provide practical solutions and treatment options to those that do not live near a veterinary establishment, or are unable to get their pet seen at a vet clinic when there are no appointments available.
