After graduating from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011, I explored several aspects of vet med including emergency medicine, shelter medicine, general practice and teaching. This allowed me to work with a variety of animal species on a variety of topics including but not limited to preventative medicine, dentistry, surgery, nutrition, behavior training, emergency geriatric medicine, hospice and end of life care. Over the past 4 years, I obtained an MPH, became certified in the Human Animal Bond and became a Level I Certified Small Animal Emergency Sheltering responder. When not working, I spend my time with my kiddos, pets and close friends. I enjoy reading, watching old movies (Casablanca with Bogie), or spending time outdoors. I also enjoy swimming and latin dancing (salsa, merengue and bachata), and have taken ballroom dance classes over the years. My hope is to one day compete professionally.
