Dr. Andrea Strecker received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR and earned her doctorate of veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
Dr. Andrea Strecker grew up on a farm in Northeast Arkansas with innumerable animals. With Dr. Strecker’s love for medicine and animals, veterinary medicine was a perfect fit. After graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003, she practiced in Columbia, Missouri, and, in 2005, moved to NWA where she acquired Oakwood Pet Hospital in Bentonville. Dr. Strecker also founded Oakwood Pet Tails of Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides quality veterinary care and homes for animals that have been abandoned or relinquished. Dr. Strecker is the mother of 6 beautiful children.
