Dr. Amit Lancet – Veterinarian

Dr. Lancet graduated from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has been practicing in California ever since. His path to veterinary medicine began years earlier, after reading All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot—an experience that inspired in him a lifelong commitment to animal care.

Dr. Lancet practices in both Israel and the United States (California), bringing broad experience in internal medicine and surgery for dogs and cats. He finds deep comfort in his work and in being around the animals he treats, and he is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, compassionate care.

He regularly attends continuing-education courses to stay current with the latest advances in veterinary medicine, and he especially enjoys solving complex medical issues that his patients may face.

As part of expanding his ability to help pets and their families, Dr. Lancet now offers virtual consultations. While he will always miss the wagging tails and the soft meows at the end of an in-person exam, he is excited to provide support and guidance wherever pet owners may need him.

Outside of work, Dr. Lancet enjoys hiking and taking his daughter fishing—moments that help him recharge and stay connected to nature.

I thought that Dr Lancet was extremely professional. He asked me many questions and he got to the cause of my dog’s problem quite quickly. He prescribed medication, and I have a strong feeling that the medication will be successful. I am extremely satisfied with this service and will use it again!

He was very patient. He was the only doctor that could affirm my concerns without making me out to be crazy but also still took the proper steps forward by getting me three different referrals to three different dermatology appointments or I’m sorry veterinary clinics. He also recommended he follow up with me. He also was very kind and patient with me dealing with like crawling all over you and you can’t see but you can feel them crawling makes you wanna light yourself on fire so thank you sir Dr. Amit thank you so much for your patience and being so understanding and being able to laugh it off with me.

I had an appointment today with Dr. Lancet, regarding an upcoming move with my cat with very serious pre-existing conditions. He was kind, understanding, and knowledgeable! Very good communication, listened to all information I had on the subject, and helped me make decisions, and made me feel part of the process. I would recommend this doctor, and hope to have the opportunity for him to care for my pets in the future. Even asked for a follow up to know how the move went for my cat!
