Dr. Amit Lancet – Veterinarian

Dr. Lancet graduated from Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has been practicing in California ever since. His path to veterinary medicine began years earlier, after reading All Creatures Great and Small by James Herriot—an experience that inspired in him a lifelong commitment to animal care.

Dr. Lancet practices in both Israel and the United States (California), bringing broad experience in internal medicine and surgery for dogs and cats. He finds deep comfort in his work and in being around the animals he treats, and he is dedicated to delivering thoughtful, compassionate care.

He regularly attends continuing-education courses to stay current with the latest advances in veterinary medicine, and he especially enjoys solving complex medical issues that his patients may face.

As part of expanding his ability to help pets and their families, Dr. Lancet now offers virtual consultations. While he will always miss the wagging tails and the soft meows at the end of an in-person exam, he is excited to provide support and guidance wherever pet owners may need him.

Outside of work, Dr. Lancet enjoys hiking and taking his daughter fishing—moments that help him recharge and stay connected to nature.

Dr. Amit Lancet was extremely helpful and informative with a stray cat I just took in and able to provide antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection. He eased my immediate worries, as I wasn’t able to get her into an in-person vet for a week in my area! She still will be going in person to a vet to do an exam and vaccines etc. as recommend Dr. Amit Lancet. I am so grateful she was able to be seen and treated immediately, Thank you!!
