About Vet

Dr. Hall-Phillips’s a graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the American Veterinary Behavior Association, the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants and is a Fear Free Certified Veterinarian. She has also completed the Aggression in Dogs Master Class under Michael Shikashio a world-renowned expert in dog aggression. After 16 years of general small animal practice, she made the decision to focus on behavior medicine. Unfortunately, behavior problems are so prevalent in dogs and cats and most general practice veterinarians do not have time, interest or training to address theses problems adequately. Problems such as fear, aggression, and separation anxiety can not only impact the pet, but the entire family.

Because most pet parents are already overwhelmed, she goes to great lengths to keep treatments plans simple. It is important to realize that most behavior problems have been going on for months and sometimes years. Because of this, behavior changes do take time. The initial appointment should be considered a starting point for addressing your pet's behavior problem.
