About Vet

Dr. Silva was born and raised in Lake Tahoe, California, and completed her undergraduate studies at CSU, Chico, where she competed throughout California with her Border Collie as a member of the Stock Dog Association and worked cattle on a large ranch.

In 2013, she followed her childhood dreams of island life and veterinary medicine to St. Kitts, where she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating in 2016, she completed a year-long internship in equine sports medicine and surgery before joining a mixed-animal practice in San Diego. Throughout her career, she has treated an incredibly diverse range of patients—from Sulcata tortoises and camels to cats, dogs, livestock, and horses. She later expanded into small-animal emergency medicine and ultimately served as a medical director.

Dr. Silva brings a practical, well-rounded approach to veterinary medicine and believes quality care should be compassionate and accessible. Her goal is to listen to your concerns, help you understand what may be going on with your pet, and provide clear, realistic next steps for their care.
