About Vet

Hello, my name is Dr. Suzanna Vaino. I'm a 2003 graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and I have been practicing general small-animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry for 19 years. In total, I have 29 years of experience in the veterinary field, and I am happy to help you today! I live just outside of Atlantic City, NJ with my husband, 3 kids, a cat (Chocolate) and a chihuahua (Scarlett), and a flock of 13 backyard egg-laying hens plus 1 obnoxious rooster: Sarah, Pumpkin, Stormy, Penguin, Rose, Sunny, Midnight, Emerald, Pixie, Hawk, Cheeks, Cloudy, Meteor, and Rainbow-Coconut (the obnoxious rooster). In my spare time I enjoy restoring classic cars with my husband, showing 4-H poultry with my daughters, and taking my 4 year old son (who loves race cars) to the drag strip--he's even been to Daytona! I owned and operated a full-service veterinary hospital for many years, but these days I enjoy raising my children, and running an ultra low-cost veterinary clinic for underprivileged pet owners so that they can keep their pets healthy despite any financial limitations--because I strongly believe that anyone should be able to experience the human-animal bond, regardless of income. The veterinary profession has been very good to me; I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love...and it's my way of "giving back." See you on Vetster!

Dr. Vaino came to our house to put our old dog Astro to sleep. She was very clear in all her communications, made sure we knew what to expect, and helped us give him a compassionate, comfortable goodbye.

Dr V was so kind and really listened to what was going on with our dog. He was really suffering with his ears and she helped us get him relief and gave us some great advice to help him. She gave us very clear instructions and was very thorough. We would def use this service again.

My experience with Dr.Vaino was excellent...Knowledgeable, professional ,kind and compassionate. She took her time with the appointment and was very willing to help with our puppy's problem and provide us with a treatment for her eye issue. I would use her again in a heartbeat if any other issues arrive with our puppy. She was fantastic and would highly recommend her.
