About Vet

Hello and thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me! My childhood was surrounded with pets and a good family friend was our veterinarian. Early on in elementary school, when I told him I wanted to be a vet, he told me to come work for him when I could drive. So I did! By assisting the veterinarians with exams and treatments, walking dogs, cleaning cages, and mopping floors, I gained a deep understanding of what it meant to work as a veterinarian, developing relationships with pets and pet parents. I was a sponge, absorbing the medicine around me, as well as developing my own "instinct" about dogs and cats. I continued working for him through college. May of 2004, I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University and then completed a one year rotating internship in San Diego. Rotations included internal medicine, surgery, emergency, dermatology and behavior services. Upon completion of my internship, my career in general practice began and since then, have been working with pet parents, helping them navigate how we can best diagnose, treat and care for their beloved pet. In 2016, I added veterinary medical acupuncture to my toolbox to treat patients. Having seen patients both in clinic and on house calls, I have experienced first hand the concerns pet owners have and a variety of challenges they may face when bringing their pet to the clinic. My entire life has been dedicated to pets and their care and I am excited to meet you and your fur baby through this platform and do my best to serve you!
