- About Vet

Dr. Megan Horowitz earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from the University of Southern California in 2013, followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Following veterinary school, she returned to her home state of California to gain clinical experience in small animal emergency medicine before pursuing her Master of Science at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, where she studied squamous cell carcinoma in bottlenose dolphins.
She has experience in a variety of veterinary settings, from emergency hospitals and high-volume vaccination clinics to research and academia, allowing her to draw on a wide range of clinical skills when treating patients. Her passion for One Health has taken her on pursuits across the world, including rainforest conservation in Costa Rica, public health research in rural Ghana, veterinary surgical training in Nicaragua, and expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctica.
She is dedicated to providing a holistic, compassionate, and evidence-based telemedicine experience to both patients and clients, as well as expanding access to care for those who may not otherwise be able to seek treatment for their pets due to location, transportation difficulties, or other factors.
