Julia Meyer

Julie developed a passion for all animals at an early age, and started working at a horse barn by the age of 13 in Northern Virginia. Following her dream to work with animals, she acquired her associate’s degree in Applied Science of Veterinary Technology from Blue Ridge Community College’s Distance Program in 2006. After graduation, Julie transitioned from primary care medicine to emergency medicine and worked as an LVT at a local 24/7 veterinary emergency hospital, honing her advanced technical skills, growing as a leader among her coworkers, and advocating for patients. In 2012, Julie joined the inaugural veterinary technical and management team at The Center of Veterinary Expertise and helped facilitate our successful opening. As Operations Manager of The COVE, Julie manages and oversees all emergency and specialty services day to day operations, overall productivity and maximizes efficiency. When Julie isn’t at The COVE, you can find her gardening with cacti and succulents, running lots of races, or with her feet in the sand of the beaches of OBX! Julie also has a passion for travel and exploring new areas and cuisine!
