I grew up on the edge of the sandhills in Nebraska riding horses, herding cattle, and playing sports. I received my undergraduate degree in veterinary science from the University of Nebraska and then my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State. I spent almost 9 years in Alaska right after graduation working mostly on dogs, with time spent working on the Iditarod and Yukon Quest sled dog races. I then moved back to the midwest to be closer to family, were I became a co-owner of a mixed animal practice. Surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and chickens, I have retired from full time to part time and split my time between Nebraska and Missouri. I Can give advice on dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and some barn yard small ruminants. I am a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, The Nebraska Academy of Veterinary Medicine, and the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association, where I also served a term on its Board of Directors.
