About Vet

Hi, I'm Dr. Clay McIntosh or "Dr. Mack", if you prefer! I am an Iowa State graduate and I am currently in Texas continuing my neurology/neurosurgery specialty education. After graduation, I completed an academic internship at University of Tennessee where I primarily worked in emergency medicine, but rotated through a number of specialties (e.g., internal medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, surgery). My passion is neurology and neurosurgery, but I enjoy all areas of veterinary medicine!

I believe in treating every patient as an individual, respecting the unique nature of the human-animal bond, and providing gold-standard care while providing options that fit everyone's situation. I look forward to working with you!

Online veterinarians in the state of Texas cannot prescribe medications, but can suggest over-the-counter options, if applicable

A very professional convenient service but unable to help. Tex’s law does not allow online prescriptions without physical exam.

I recently had a meeting with Dr. Charles regarding flea treatments for my cats, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Dr. Charles was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to thoroughly explain the various treatment options available. He patiently answered all of my questions and provided detailed information on the effectiveness and safety of each product. The only issue and not related to him was he couldn’t prescribe to Texas. Again, not his fault. I highly recommend Dr. Charles to anyone seeking veterinary care. His expertise and dedication to his patients are truly commendable. I wish he was local to me!

Dr. McIntosh was very professional, nice and patient. But the reason I booked the telemedicine appointment was to avoid a visit to a local vet as it stresses my dog out. I wanted my dog to be evaluated for anxiety, but Dr. McIntosh said he could not prescribe meds for her. So after spending the money on the televise, I still need to go see a local vet and get my dog put on anxiety meds.
