Technically located in Arlington, this local park is nonetheless a popular option for dog owners living in both Arlington and Alexandria. The park is sponsored by Douglas Dogs, and they’re in charge of ensuring that the park stays clean and enjoyable — something they do very well, according to locals. The 15 acres of Monticello Park are primarily beloved by birders, who frequent the park as a place to view a variety of birds, as well as plants and insects.
