Cat viral infection

Cerebellar hypoplasia is a congenital malformation of the cerebellum in cats, which is the part of the brain responsible for balance and coordination. The root cause is due to incomplete development of the cerebellum in the womb.

Feline herpesvirus (FHV) is a common and highly contagious respiratory illness in cats resulting from infection with type 1 Feline Herpesvirus (FHV-1). Transmission occurs through direct or indirect, contact with nasal or eye secretions

Poxvirus infection in cats is caused by viruses in the Poxviridae family. Cowpox virus is the most common cause of infection, but other viruses in this family can infect cats as well.

Feline Calicivirus (FCV) is a common, highly contagious virus that causes respiratory infection and oral disease in cats. FCV is not usually life threatening, although in rare cases it develops into FCV-VSD which has more severe symptoms and is potentially fatal.

Papillomatosis is the development of oral or cutaneous papillomas (also called warts) due to infection by a papillomavirus. Papillomatosis is very rare in cats.

Rabies is a rare, but fatal infectious viral disease. If a cat is suspected to be infected with the rabies virus, or has been bitten by a potentially rabid animal, immediate veterinary attention is required.

Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is a viral disease in cats which results in inflammation of the lining of the abdominal wall (peritoneum), although it may affect many other body structures as well.

Feline Panleukopenia (FPV), also known as distemper, is a highly contagious viral infection in cats.

Upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs) are a group of bacterial and viral infections that affect the mouth, nose, eyes, and sinuses of cats.

Feline leukemia virus (FeLV) is one of the most prevalent infectious diseases and is the most common cause of cancer in cats. 

Feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) is an uncommon viral disease of cats, caused by a retrovirus similar to human immunodeficiency virus.
