About Vet

If you have a cat you adore, we might be a good fit! I have been practicing since 1998 and am brand new to this platform. My main area of focus is feline medicine, but I have practiced on dogs and cats for the majority of my career and can still provide some advice on dogs. I have had stray cats, shelter cats, purebreed cats, and I even went through FIP treatment with my current cat! Going to the veterinarian is often necessary, but for many situations, the option of decreasing the stress of a visit or gathering information before getting a physical exam is very valuable. It can even be valuable as a option to get more clarification after an in clinic exam if an owner wants a second review of lab work or another veterinarian's input about a diagnosis or treatment options. Also, as ER veterinary availability has become more challenging, there is a definite need for owners to have the ability to seek advice before making after hours decisions for their little furry family members. Telemedicine is a great way to do this!

Dr. Simmons seems to have a wide breadth of knowledge about cats in particular and took the time to ask thoughtful questions to seek real solutions for my cat Emmy.
