About Vet

SERVICES OFFERED:

Food Therapy (cats and dogs) Dr. Lacey's food therapy consists of a personalized and balanced home-cook diet recipe formulation from traditional Chinese veterinary medicine (TCVM) principles with particular ingredients chosen based on your pet's specific TCVM pattern and health condition for the support of your pet's overall health and/or the collaborative treatment or management of your pet's medical condition(s). Clients must be very interested in preparing a home-cooked fresh diet for their pet as the pet's full diet or at least as a topper; the client must also be willing to give a nutritional supplement (powder sprinkled on food) when the pet's full diet is home-cooked. Clients may discuss more of the details during the consult and assessment appointment; if the client elects for Dr. Lacey to prepare a TCVM food therapy recipe for their pet then the additional fee will be applied.

ABOUT:

Hi, there. I’m veterinarian Dr. Ruth Lacey. I received my food therapy training through Chi University in Florida and am in process of becoming a certified veterinary food therapist.

I was born and raised in Virginia and completed my undergraduate biology degree at Asbury University in Kentucky and my doctor of veterinary medicine degree at Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in Alabama.

I hold veterinary licenses in Virginia and Texas and reside in Texas where I have an animal chiropractic practice (see more at nosetotailanimalcare.com). I received my animal chiropractic training at Parker University in Dallas and am certified by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA). Prior to animal chiropractic and holistic care, I have been in various fields of veterinary medicine. These include general practice, shelter medicine, and missions with Christian Veterinary Mission.

It is my pleasure to consult with you and take time to be a listening ear and help guide you in your decisions for you and your pet. I look forward to speaking with you.
