Dr. Michelle Lapera was born and raised in New York. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Delaware, where she studied Animal Science and Biology. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (VMD) at the University of Pennsylvania and has been practicing in northern Virginia for the past 11 years, treating dogs and cats. Outside of work, Dr. Lapera enjoys hiking and traveling. She has 4 dogs-a 14 year old Husky named Bella, a 9 year old Lab mix named Chance, a 7 year old Collie mix named Marbles, and a Husky puppy named Mika.

I absolutely loved how Dr Lapera took her time talking to me and wanted to look at June from head to toe. Even if it was a flea pill visit. As soon as I mentioned she was having ear issues she let me know she was more than happy to see June to follow up for my concerns.

The doctor was extremely thorough. She looked at my little girl had me lift up her lip to check her gums and provided me with additional care for my baby to assist with the antibiotics that she will prescribe. She was very pleasant, informative and helpful.
