Dr. Katrina Spies

Hello! I've practiced as a small animal emergency and general practice veterinarian in Northern Virginia for the past 13+ years. I'm originally from Wisconsin (Go Badgers! Go Pack Go!) but the east coast has been my home for more than half of my life.

My veterinary medical degree is from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and after veterinary school, I completed a specialty internship at VCA Southpaws in Fairfax. I enjoy emergency medicine as well as internal medicine, geriatrics, and preventative care. I recently received my certification in animal hospice and palliative care (CHPV) and I am a Fear Free Certified Veterinarian.

I share my home with a couple Saint Bernards, a Pomeranian/Lab Mix, and an African Grey parrot.
