About Vet

Dr. Kloft graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing as a small animal veterinarian. Prior to her start in veterinary medicine, she served in the United States Navy on active duty, then transitioned to Reserve duty upon acceptance into veterinary school. She has experience in primary, emergency, and specialty hospital care settings. She is currently undergoing specialized training through the American College of Veterinary Surgeons residency program, in order to achieve board certified status as a small animal veterinary surgeon. She works along side board-certified surgeons and is knowledgeable in orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, rehabilitation, and neurologic surgical diseases. Dr. Kloft started practicing as a virtual veterinarian in December 2023, due to wanting to further help owners and their furry family members, at the front line, from the comfort of their home.

Before you schedule your appointment, if you are located in the United States, please follow this link to see if your state allows virtual appointments to prescribe medications (https://vvca.org/resources/telemedicine-map/). If your state does not allow virtual visits to establish a Veterinary Client Patient Relationship (VCPR), then I am unable to prescribe medications virtually and you will need to have your pet seen in person by a veterinarian in your state.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Kloft during my virtual visit! She was so patient and really took the time to listen to my concerns. I shared a few paragraphs of information about my cat, and even though I was worried it might be too much, she was grateful for the detailed notes. Using that information, she came up with a clear plan to help address the potential issues my cat is facing. Dr. Kloft was kind, thorough, and made sure all of my questions were answered before we finished. I’m really grateful for her help and can't recommend her enough!

My five month old kitten was showing signs of an upper respiratory infection. Dr. Kloft discussed the symptoms with me. Was able to provide additional information on care for the kitten and want to watch for. She took her time, she also asked me about the set up overall for all of my cats . I appreciated this on a Saturday when I could not get into my regular veterinarian

Dr. Kloft is such a compassionate and caring clinician. She took the time to fully educate me on my pet’s condition and gave many suggestions to help. In addition, she went the extra mile by offering to call my local emergency vet clinic so she can get her medication sooner. In addition, she’s very knowledgeable about veterinary care. She doesn’t blindly accept what’s been done in the past, but does extra research to ensure the most up-to-date care is being offered. I’d highly recommend Dr. Kloft to anyone.

10/10 recommend Dr. Heather Kloft. We used this services when our dog got a chemical burn and the ER wait was 6 hours. She listened to our concerns and was able to see what we were referring to injury wise. Gave us helpful information on next steps to take.

I had reservations regarding this online service; however, I also didn't want to spend 4+ hours in the local vet emergency room with my 9 year-old Goldendoodle. Dr. Kloft was VERY thorough. We talked through all treatment options and also how to handle follow-up with my normal veterinarian. She was not in a hurry and was extreme knowledgeable/personable. I also was able to get an appointment within an hour or so! I'm very thankful for Dr. Kloft's help.

I deeply appreciate Dr. Kloft’s interest in my dog, his well-being, and his everyday quality of life. She handled tech issues on my end graciously, and welcomes further information after the call to contextualize and tailor her recommendations.
