About Vet

Dr. Grace Chen received her Bachelor’s Degree from McGill University with a Major in Biochemistry. Dr. Chen then completed her Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Queensland School of Veterinary Science in Australia. She pursued further training by completing a one-year small animal medicine and surgery internship at The BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital in New York City, followed by a one-year surgical specialty internship at the Las Vegas Veterinary Speciality Center in Las Vegas. Dr. Chen also practiced Emergency Medicine and has worked in several general practice animal hospitals in Singapore and New York.

Dr. Chen was born in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Ultimately, her love for Manhattan brought her back to New York after her training. Her professional interests include surgery and client communication. She currently lives in Manhattan with her two desert tortoises. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Chen enjoys running in Central Park, practicing yoga, barre and baking. Dr. Chen is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
