Dr. Teresa Schumacher

I graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After completing a rotating small animal internship in Chattanooga, TN, I returned to my home state of Ohio in 2016, where I have continued to practice small animal emergency medicine.

I love the challenges of emergency medicine and I am particularly interested in trauma cases and toxicology. I currently hold licenses in both Ohio and California, and divide my time working between the two states.

When it comes to Telehealth, my main interests include, but are not limited to:

• Advice in emergency situations
• Toxicology recommendations (i.e. helping you navigate what to do when your dog eats something he shouldn't have)
• End-of-life discussion for aging or chronically ill patients
• Second opinion regarding complex cases or very sick patients

When I'm not working I enjoy traveling, writing, and spending time with my four-legged children, including two dogs, a cat, and a horse.
