About Vet

Hello! My name is Dr Hamilton. Think of me as your virtual triage and consultation veterinarian.

Unfortunately due to California/Wisconsin laws, I am unable to prescribe medications at this time; however, I can help your pet with expert advice as well as recommend over the counter medications/supplements that benefit your pet’s health while saving you the trip to an in person vet. I love being able to spend time to address all your concerns and explain the “why” behind your pet’s ailments. Client education is a passion of mine. Whether that be nutritional advice, senior or hospice care advice, behavioral concerns, vet referral recommendations to specialists in your area, or concerns if an emergency vet visit is warranted, I am here to help! I am especially passionate about exotic animal education, as pet stores often don’t provide the proper resources on how to properly house and feed these species and I want to help guide you through new pet ownership.

I am a huge believer of quality of life over quantity of life and love to take the time to discuss end of life care and how to keep your pet comfortable as they grow older.

As a pet owner, I have the unique ability to see both the owner and doctor perspective. It allows for me to better guide my medicine and expert advice through my own personal experiences addressing the challenges of pet ownership. I have owned everything from dogs, cats, birds, snakes, bearded dragons, hedgehogs, rabbits, hamsters- you name it, I’ve either owned or fostered it. This unique perspective allows for me to give advice that just isn’t taught it vet school; it’s learned through pet ownership and experience.

Please send in questions/concerns before your appointment and any previous medical history. I look forward to helping you and your companion!
