About Vet

Hello, I am a small animal vet with 24 years of experience.

After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1998, I began treating dogs and cats in the Northern Virginia area. Then I married into the Air Force. With frequent military moves, I became a relief veterinarian in Louisiana, Washington State, and Tennessee. I have worked in general practice, emergency, surgery, and shelter medicine, plus I have experience with small farms, including dairy cows, beef cows, chickens, sheep, goats, ducks and pigs.

I mainly see cats and dogs, with emphasis on urgent care triage, general medicine, wellness planning and nutrition, pediatrics, geriatrics, and behavior consultations. I can offer advice on hobby farm animal care, welfare and wellness. The most important component of effective veterinary care is communication and working as a team with the pet owner. I hope to help you navigate your pet challenges with pertinent information and quality medicine.
