About Vet

Hello! I am a Southern California native and have spent the majority of my life dedicated to the improving the health and welfare for animals locally in my community, across the nation and globally. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from UCLA and then went on to graduate with honors with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. After working for a short time in private practice, I moved to the non-profit sector in 2016 and have been providing veterinary care for service dogs, shelter animals, and low cost clinics ever since.

Though my duties as a Medical Director keep me very busy, I absolutely love being able to have uninterrupted one-on-one discussions with animal owners. My goals are to provide an attentive ear, guidance, and support for you and your family. I am here to talk you through anything from emergencies to your last in person visit with your regular veterinarian and everything in-between. I am also available for follow up questions and concerns via direct message.

Please note that due to California law, I am unable to provide a diagnosis or prescribe medications via a telemedicine appointment. However, I can make suggestions for at home and over the counter solutions to make your pet more comfortable and I can help guide you in developing questions and a plan of action for any upcoming in-person veterinary appointments

My dog has unusual sores on the back of her paws that will not heal (after doing weeks of soaks and treatments), and Dr. Bills was very helpful in a short amount of time! She explained what she thinks I should do next, suggested a handful of others remedies I could try, and talked about what steps to take when bringing her into my vet. I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Bills and I will definitely be using her again, if needed.

I have been having flea problems with my cats and the medicines I tried seemed to be having no effect. Dr. Bills talked through problem with me thoroughly and helped me realize I may have been purchasing counterfeit flea medication, a thought that had never crossed my mind! She was very kind in suggesting an urgent care where I could go to get new flea medication the next day. I really appreciated her knowledgeability and genuine desire to help me and my cats!

Dr. Bills provided great empathy and advice for our Bella, who has a sore foot / lower leg. The big thing for us was whether we could proceed with a quick trip back home to her own vet rather than taking her to an emergency vet. She eased our immediate concerns and helped us on how to proceed.
