Dr. Curtis graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities with a bachelors degree in Fisheries, Wildlife & Conservation Biology. She attended veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, completing large & small animal clinical rotations at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, graduating with high honors.
Dr. Curtis began practicing small animal medicine in Southern California. She quickly recognized a need for house-calls and video consultations for her senior and fearful patients. She transitioned to seeing house-calls in 2017 and immediately noted a dramatic improvement in her patients comfort and stress level. Dr. Curtis could not be happier to be back to her home state of Minnesota offering house-calls and video consultations to the Twin Cities and surrounding communities.
Dr. Curtis formed Cosmic Light, a house-call practice, to help animals where they feel most at ease, at home. Her focus is to help senior and terminally ill pets through fear-free examinations and calm, comfortable home visits and video consultations. Dr. Curtis is certified in Pet Loss & Grief Companioning, providing guidance to families navigating end-of-life decisions for their pet.
When Dr. Curtis is not seeing house-calls or consulting on Vetster she spends her time enjoying the outdoors downhill skiing, hiking, camping and fishing, as well as indoor activities such as painting, brewing kombucha and cooking with her fiancé (also a local veterinarian), their cat, Koala, and 3 dogs Harley, Grover & Bailey.
