About Vet

"Being able to save a life, help injured or sick animals get well and seeing happy owners gives Dr. Chou an immeasurable amount of joy. When owners look into her eyes and thank her for making their pet healthy, the emotional rush is indescribable. Even more rewarding is when a patient recovers and is wagging its tail or purring, acting as though nothing happened, despite having gone through a life-saving procedure. These are the moments that are unforgettable."

After completion of her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Tina Chou went onto pursue an internship. She completed a rotating internship in Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, and Dermatology at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic and Referral Centre in Toronto. She still has a passion for all these specialties and often uses her knowledge adopted from them to bring clarity and solution-based approach when counseling her pet parents about the unique care needs of their pet. Dr. Tina Chou also enjoys discussing Palliative Care options with her pet parents and does so in the comfort of their own home!! This allows for a more comprehensive view and understanding of how the pets are in their own personal environment.

Dr. Tina Chou currently works downtown Toronto in various veterinary clinics as well as a busy veterinary house call service!!

Talked to Tina about my 13.5 yr goldendoodle who has experienced sudden weight loss. She talked about possible reasons (including cancer) on why he might be losing weight and how to make him more comfortable. She was patient and talked about the various indicators and quality of life for my pet in case things escalate. She really cares about the pets she works with and also made sure the owner is comforted as well! Excellent vet!

Dr. Chou was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and thorough. She took the time to answer all my questions with patience and care, providing thoughtful advice tailored to my senior cat’s needs. Her dietary recommendations were insightful, and her guidance on elderly pet care was both practical and reassuring. I left feeling confident in how to best support my cat’s health and well-being. I truly appreciate her expertise and compassion, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated and caring veterinarian.
