A current physical exam provides important context and supports safer, more informed recommendations. If your pet has not been examined by a veterinarian within the past 12 months, or if there is a new, worsening, or complex concern, Dr. Chou may recommend an in-person veterinary assessment to ensure your pet receives the most appropriate care.

After completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, Dr. Chou pursued a rotating internship in Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Cardiology, Surgery, Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, and Dermatology at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic and Referral Centre in Toronto. She continues to draw upon this broad specialty experience to provide thoughtful guidance and solution-focused recommendations tailored to each pet’s unique needs.

Dr. Chou also has a special interest in palliative and end-of-life care, helping families navigate these important decisions with compassion and understanding. She currently works in downtown Toronto at veterinary clinics and through a busy veterinary house call service.
