Dr. Silvia do Valle graduated over 30 years ago and brings extensive experience in equine and small animal medicine, surgery, and rehabilitation. She aims to achieve balanced animal health by integrating natural and holistic therapies. A firm believer in the power of nutrition for preventing and curing disease - echoing Hippocrates, "Let food be thy medicine". Dr. do Valle is also deeply knowledgeable in herbal medicine and acupuncture. She has presented scientific papers around the world and authored several book chapters. When conventional treatment is needed, whether an antibiotic or even a steroid, Dr. do Valle can help you understand what is best for your animal.

Dr. do Valle conducted research at Cornell University, earning a Master of Science degree in equine surgery and physiology. She obtained her second Master's degree through research on Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in top performance horses at Chi University.

Growing up, Dr. do Valle rode jumpers, competing in national horse shows in the USA, Brazil, and the Dominican Republic. She has helped train thoroughbreds, managed farms, and taught riding lessons. At her grandmother's ranch, she provided veterinary care for a wide variety of farm animals. For many years, she ran her own practice in Ocala, Florida, treating all types of horses—from celebrated performance athletes to beloved backyard companions and motherly broodmares.

Whenever she can, Dr. do Valle trains in para-equestrian dressage with her Lusitano horses, aiming for the LA 2028 Paralympic Games. She also shows her dogs as an AKC Breeder of Merit in conformation, agility, rally, obedience, dock diving, coursing, and barn hunt.

Dr Silvia Do Valle was very through, informative, and kind. This was my first time doing a telehealth appointment and it was a great experience. My dog gets very nervous going to the veterinarian so this turned out to be a great option especially on a weekend, when my veterinarians office is closed
