Dr. Sarah Hayes

I grew up in Oregon and received my undergraduate degree from University of Oregon. I then went to Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine where I received my Veterinary degree and met my now husband who is also a vet. I completed a rotating internship in Boston to further my training and worked in Emergency Medicine for several years before starting a 3-year residency program at the University of Tennessee to become board certified in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.

We have two big dogs who think they're lap dogs, and a cat who thinks he's a big dog. In my free time, I can be found under a pile of animals snuggled up on the couch or out hiking with the dogs. I think that the best vet care includes not only treating the pet, but informing and educating pet parents so that we can make the best decisions regarding your best friend’s care and treatment together.
