Hello, I’m Dr. Roy. I look forward to helping you and your pet from the comfort of your home. You will have my undivided attention for up to 30 minutes.

Enzo, my pup and constant companion, will help during our video appointment.

I grew up on a ranch in Texas. With my father’s encouragement, I received my DVM from Texas A&M.

During my career, I’ve been fortunate to practice on many species. A for armadillos to Z for Zebras.

I enjoy telling tall tales of my experiences!

The Human Animal Bond is dear to my heart. I helped launch pet visitation programs at the Houston Medical Center during the 1980s.

I’ve served on numerous boards and volunteered my services and time to shelters and animal rescue groups.

Ongoing continued education keeps me up-to-date on the rapid advancements in veterinary medicine.

We had an excellent experience with Dr. Roy Cruzen through Vetster. We have an outdoor cat who is extremely difficult to catch or transport, and she developed a wound that simply wasn’t healing. Dr. Cruzen took the time to listen to the history, carefully review what was going on, and come up with a practical treatment plan that took our unique situation into account. I especially appreciated that he didn’t dismiss our concerns simply because we couldn’t bring her into an office. He was knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, and focused on finding a realistic way to help her. He prescribed treatment for both the underlying parasite/flea concerns and the wound itself and clearly explained what we should do and what to watch for. This is exactly what I hoped telemedicine veterinary care could provide. Dr. Cruzen was professional, personable, and genuinely seemed to care about getting our cat better. I would absolutely recommend him and wouldn’t hesitate to schedule with him again.
