About Vet

Dr. Figueroa is a recent graduate of the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, Massachusetts. Following graduation, she completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego, followed by a specialized internship in zoological medicine at Colorado State University. She enjoys working with all creatures great and small and is currently completing a zoological medicine residency at the University of Tennessee. Special interests include pain management, internal medicine, and end of life/compassionate care of domestic and non-domestic animals.

When not working she can be found baking, reading, bike riding, or most often just hanging out with her 12 year-old domestic shorthair cat named Cat.
