Hello, pet lovers and caretakers! Along with your local vet, partner with me to help keep your dog and cat as healthy and happy as possible! Access to vet care online is a wonderful opportunity for pet owners to fill in the gaps or gain more details about their pets in a more thorough, less hurried fashion. However, due to professional laws regulating what can and cannot be done online, in some regions, these online sources cannot be legally used for telemedicine, where an exact diagnosis and/or prescription medications can be given. However, if a pet has been seen in person by a particular vet, who is also on certain online platforms, then specific diagnosis and prescription medications may be offered legally in that instance. However, if the vet has not seen the pet personally, all that can be offered is telehealth, where general information, home care tips, and possible OTC product options are shared. With 30+ years of in-clinic experience with small animal medicine in the north Texas area, I can help via telehealth by sharing general pet health information, second opinions of labwork and information given on ongoing cases, answering medical questions after a recent vet visit, clear confusion about a variety of medical conditions, triage of sick pets to recommend next steps, share recommendations on flea and tick infestations, and more. Although I am licensed in Texas, if I have not personally seen your pet, I can only offer telehealth services and not telemedicine. Even though I am not licensed in other regions, I can offer telehealth services, but not telemedicine.

I wish our state allowed for prescription solely based on tele health calls but regardless Dr Clauss was immeasurably helpful with a treatment plan for our dog, I couldn’t recommend her enough and wish we had her as our in person vet
