About Vet

I have been practicing in Los Angeles since I graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine (now know as Cumming's School) in 2001. In 2002 I completed an internship at California Animal Hospital Surgery and Emergency department now known as ASEC. My first 7 years were in small animal general practice, during which time I was an associate, relief doctor, and owned my own practice. After 7 years I felt the calling to move into shelter medicine to help pets that didn't have pet parents to advocate for them. During my 15 years in the shelter I developed a passion for forensic medicine and animal cruelty investigation. I completed my masters from the University of Florida Veterinary Forensics program in 2015. I am now working in several areas of private practice including preventative medicine, hospice and end of life care, general practice, and providing relief services to the extremely hard working shelter vets of Los Angeles and Orange County when they need a break. I see dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other small rodents. I can consult on hospice and end of life care for all small animal and exotic species. I love consulting with pet parents to help them triage situations and advise them on the next steps.

********IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE in the state of CA, veterinarians are not legally able to prescribe medications to pets they have not examined in person. They are allowed to advise on the urgency of a medical situation (triage) and provide general advice about medical conditions and possible over-the-counter solutions that may help your pet.
