About Vet

PLEASE READ important note below for Florida clients/ patients!!

Hi! I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech). I’m a general practitioner, who sees mostly small animals (cats and dogs). My daily tasks consist of consultations, dental procedures, and surgeries.

We now live in a world that’s in need of virtual veterinary care and I’m here to help you from the comfort of your home and without the stress of taking your fur babies into a clinic. I can address your concerns, triage and diagnose your pet and I will be very honest if I believe that your pet does need to be seen in person at a clinic, as there are conditions that simply can’t be assessed online. However, I will help you with anything that I can do over video.

I have multiple areas of professional interest such as: preventative medicine, dentistry, dermatology (skin issues/ allergies), new puppy/ kitten questions, behavior, hospice care, lameness, surgery, etc. Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy traveling, meeting new people/ cultures, going to the beach, water sports, dancing, and spending time with my partner and fur babies.

Please do not hesitate to reach out and address your concerns! I am able to prescribe medications for Virginia clients/ patients if they are needed, though I am not able to prescribe controlled medications over this platform.

** IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FLORIDA CLIENTS/ PATIENTS **: Please do not schedule if you are looking for a prescription!!!

Veterinary practice acts are state specific and regulate what can qualify as a veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR). A VCPR is REQUIRED in order to prescribe medications legally. Currently, few states allow for a virtual visit to qualify as a VCPR in order to prescribe medication. Florida does not allow legal prescribing of medications without first conducting an in-person physical exam. Hence, I cannot prescribe medications for your pet unless I have examined them in-person within the last 12 months. I am still able to address your concerns, triage, come up with differential diagnoses for your pet as well as recommend over the counter medications as needed.
