Hello! I’m Dr. Lenna Alvarez, a licensed veterinarian with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech). I specialize in small animal care, focusing on cats and dogs, and have a broad range of experience in emergency, general practice, including consultations, surgeries, and dental procedures.
With the convenience of telemedicine, I’m here to assist you and your furry companions from the comfort of your home, eliminating the stress of in-clinic visits. Whether it’s addressing concerns, offering guidance, or providing diagnoses, I’m committed to offering honest advice. Virtual care offers timely, professional guidance for your pet. If your pet requires in-person care or an ER visit, I’ll be upfront about that, as some conditions do need hands-on assessment. However, for everything I can help with virtually, I’ll ensure we find the best solution together.
I have a strong passion for preventive care, dermatology (including skin issues and allergies), dentistry, behavior, new puppy and kitten care, lameness, hospice support, and surgery. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, experiencing new cultures, beach days, water sports, dancing, and spending time with my partner and our own fur babies.
Feel free to reach out! I’m available to assist you with any concerns, and I’m able to prescribe medications for my Virginia and Florida clients (excluding controlled substances) through this platform. Please be aware that bloodwork is required for some medications and I won't be able to provide the prescription only you have recent bloodwork.
