About Vet

Hi! I grew up in Minnesota, where I spent my childhood doing everything there is to do with animals. I raised and showed Alaskan Malamutes with my mom, my Siberian Husky was my 4H dog, and I showed Quarter Horses. I also raised chickens and pheasants for fun. My true love was my Siamese Cat. I graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. I started out being an Equine and Dairy/Beef vet, but after a few years, switched to Small Animal veterinary medicine, where I see many cats and dogs on a daily basis at a rural clinic. I live on a dairy farm and still provide the cows with veterinary care, but my passion is with cats and dogs! My hobbies keep changing over the years. Now instead of riding horses, I follow my cats around in their giant fenced in yard, doing photography of cats, birds, and flowers. I am a mom of 2, and a dairy farm wife. The family and I raised and showed poultry for many years. I helped my kids train and show dairy cows. We love to take trips out west. So, that is a little bit about me! I know how much these animals mean to you, and how important and deep the bond is between a person and their pet. I am also kind of a nerd and spend much of my free time continuing my education and trying to soak up new knowledge! So, I am here to help you help your pet and keep that bond strong!
