I have been practicing veterinary medicine full time for almost three decades, mostly in rural areas. My pragmatic AND creative solution driven support is extensive with a broad 'toolbox'. My love is holistic and functional medicine and getting to root cause. I have certifications in acupuncture, chiropractic, and medical ozone therapy, utilize and have an awesome donor dog for microbiome restorative therapy (fecal transplants). Was sick on stomach and disoriented he threw up about 20 mins before we were joined for appointment and seemed to be fine once dr Backus was online but she still decided to prescribe a med for upset stomach she monitored him for a good while he seems to be ok now she made us feel better about the situation him being 13 yrs old we were worried but she calmed us down thank you Dr backus

My 14-year-old Maltese was experiencing canine cognitive disorder on top of his congestive heart failure and I had no idea how to help him. She took the time to listen to me ramble and gave me a number of things to do to try to help him with his new issue. She really helped alleviate the stress I was feeling over how to help him. I can't thank her enough!
