Dr. Katherine Royce

Hello! I'm Dr. Katherine Royce, a small animal veterinarian with over 25 years of experience. For the past three years, I've been working as a telemedicine and relief veterinarian. Prior to that, I owned a practice in central Maine, where I cared for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, ferrets, birds, and reptiles.

I have a particular fondness for small dogs, sighthounds, cats, and guinea pigs, though I enjoy treating all my patients (as long as they're not trying to eat my face!). My work also allows me the flexibility to be a snowbird, spending the warmer months in Rhode Island and Maine and the colder months in Florida. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our 3 papillons, playing golf and disc golf, and gardening.

I am licensed in Florida, Rhode Island, Maine, and Michigan. I am comfortable writing prescriptions for medications for patients in those states, once we have established a Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) via a video consultation.
